Internet and data

Every site connected, one provider to call

Internet, links between your sites and links to your cloud, chosen for each site, installed to a plan and looked after against written service levels. When a line fails, we deal with the carrier, not you.

Connections

Fibre, NBN or a point-to-point link between sites, chosen for the work each site does and delivered to a plan. Your cloud gets its own direct link, so the office and the servers in Azure or AWS talk as if they were in one building.

  1. Fibre where it's available

Business fibre for the sites that carry the most, with the same speed up and down for backups, cloud and calls.

  2. NBN for smaller sites

A business NBN service for the sites that need a solid connection without a fibre build, installed in weeks rather than months.

  3. Point to point between sites

A private link from a site to head office or another site, so shared systems and files behave as if they were down the hall.

  4. A direct link to your cloud

A private connection from your office to your servers in Azure or AWS, steadier than the open internet and kept separate from it.

  5. Chosen for the site

Speed and data allowance picked for the work each site does, from a head office to a two-person depot, and reviewed as that changes.

  6. Installed to a plan

NBN typically takes two to twenty days and fibre thirty to ninety. We plan around real lead times and keep the old service running until the new one is live.

Resilience

Backup links and failover

A second connection on a different network, ready to take over the moment the first one fails, so the counter keeps trading, the calls keep flowing and nobody in the office notices.

  • A different network

The backup link comes from a different carrier on a different path, so one fault can't take both.

  • Takes over automatically

When the primary link drops, traffic moves to the backup without anyone touching anything, and back again once the primary is repaired.

  • Calls keep working

Teams calling, point of sale and your cloud link run over the backup too, so the site keeps working while the fault is fixed.

  • Watched continuously

Every link is monitored, so we usually know about a fault before anyone at the site does, and faults are worked from 8am to 9pm on weekdays.

  • We raise the fault

We log it with the carrier, chase it against their repair targets and tell you what's happening, so you never sit on hold.

  • No surprises

Planned carrier work is announced before it happens, so a maintenance window never looks like an outage.

One provider

We deal with the carrier

New sites and moves planned around real lead times, faults raised and chased by us, and plain terms on how the service runs. You deal with one team, and that team already knows your whole environment.

  • Faults, end to end

Logged with the carrier, chased against their repair targets and closed by us, with you kept in the loop.

  • Lead times you can plan around

We tell you how long each connection takes before you sign a lease, and track the order until it's live.

  • Build fees approved first

If a carrier needs to run fibre into a building, the cost is quoted in writing and approved by you before any work starts.

  • Moving sites

Tell us the new address and within seven days you'll know what we can deliver there, so the move can be planned.

  • Plain terms

After the initial term, every connection runs month to month with 30 days' notice. A rate change comes with 21 days' notice and the right to leave that service.

  • Support that knows the site

Changes handled in business hours by the same team that looks after your computers, with an emergency line outside them.

Questions, answered

How long does a new connection take?

On average an NBN service takes two to twenty days and fibre thirty to ninety, depending on the carrier and the building. If fibre has to be run into the building, the carrier's build fee is quoted in writing and approved by you before anything starts. We tell you the lead time before you commit to a site, and keep any existing service running until the new one is live.

What happens when a line goes down?

If the site has a backup link, traffic moves to it in seconds. Either way, we raise the fault with the carrier, chase it against the written repair targets and keep you updated until it's fixed. The targets depend on the carrier and the site's location: a critical fault on metro fibre is measured in hours, a regional site in business days, and they're written into your agreement before you sign.

Do we need a backup link?

If the site stops working when the internet does, yes. Point of sale, Teams calling and anything that lives in the cloud all depend on the connection. A backup on a different network keeps the site trading while the primary is repaired. For a small site that can work from a phone hotspot for an afternoon, it's optional.

Can you connect our sites to each other, and to our cloud?

Yes. A point-to-point link joins a site privately to head office or another site, and a direct link joins your office to your servers in Azure or AWS without crossing the open internet. Both are designed with the rest of your environment, so files, applications and calls behave the same at every site.

What are the service levels, and what if you miss them?

Each connection carries an availability target of 99.9% a month, with faults covered from 8am to 9pm on weekdays. If a connection is down for four hours or more in a month you're credited 10% of that month's charge for it, and 20% if it's down for 20 hours or more. Planned carrier maintenance is announced in advance and doesn't count.

What are the contract terms?

Each connection has an initial term, typically 36 months, then runs month to month with 30 days' notice from either side. Carrier rates can change, but only with 21 days' notice, and you can leave the affected service within 42 days without early termination charges. Speeds are the service's rated speed; actual throughput varies with the carrier and the building, which is why we size each link with headroom.
